    2-Benzoyl-3-hydroxy-1-propene (BAA)

    [Structural formula]

[Physical and chemical properties] It is a yellow viscous liquid at room temperature with a density of 1.

[Preparation method] Using acetophenone and formaldehyde as raw materials, the molar ratio is about 1:2.

The reaction mixture was neutralized with acid and treated with brine, extracted repeatedly with ethyl acetate , dried and dehydrated with anhydrous desiccant, and ethyl acetate was distilled off under reduced pressure to obtain a yellow oil

[Application] It can be used as a hydrochloric acid high-temperature pickling corrosion inhibitor, with a dosage of 0.

The corrosion inhibition test results are shown in Table 6-18

Table 6-18 Corrosion inhibition test results of different concentrations of BAA

    (2) Corrosion inhibition performance of BAA in 28% HCl at different temperatures

The test results are shown in Table 6-19

Table 6-19 Corrosion inhibition performance of BAA at different temperatures (28% HCI, 0.

    (3) The influence of different concentrations of HCl on the corrosion inhibition performance of BAA

The test results are shown in Table 6-20

Table 6-20 Corrosion inhibition performance of 0.

    (4) Comparison of corrosion inhibition between BAA and propynol

The BAA and propynol were tested under different conditions, and the results are shown in Table 6-21

Table 6-21 Comparison test between BAA and allyl alcohol (85℃, 28% HCl)

From Table 6-21, it can be seen that under the same conditions, BAA and propynol have better corrosion inhibition performance than propynol, whether they are compared individually or after being compounded.

BAA can inhibit the corrosion process of the anode and the cathode at the same time, and it is a mixed corrosion inhibitor
