    News from our newspaper (Reporter Yang Xiaojing) The China Dairy Association recently announced the 2021 annual dairy cow production performance measurement showing that the level of relevant indicators has been further improved


    As a very important basic work in the genetic improvement of dairy cows, the performance measurement of dairy cows directly affects the overall level of the progress of population genetic improvement


    According to the statistics of China Dairy Cow Data Center, a total of 1,479,000 dairy cows in 1,306 dairy farms have been tested for production performance, with 8,208,000 test records


    The average daily milk production of the dairy cows tested reached 33.


    The daily average milk fat rate of the dairy cows tested was 3.


    The main dairy-producing provinces, Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Shandong, Henan, Shaanxi, Ningxia, and Xinjiang, had 1,156,100 cows, accounting for 78% of the national total


    According to different dairy farming regions, the country is divided into Northeast and Inner Mongolia production areas (Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia), North China production areas (Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Shanxi), Northwest production areas (Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang, Tibet), southern production areas (Hubei, Hunan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Anhui, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan) and cities and surrounding production areas (Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing)


    From the analysis of the production performance of dairy cows in different production areas, the average daily milk yield measured in the cities and surrounding production areas is the highest, reaching 34.


    The different breeding scales of dairy farms reflect their management level and comprehensive production level to a certain extent


    Dairy farms with more than 3,000 lactating cows have the highest daily average milk production, reaching 34.
