2021 Shanghairanking's ranking of world-class disciplines in chemistry and chemical engineering announced

Sinochem News Network News, a professional institution for higher education evaluation, recently officially released the 2021 "Ranking of World-Class Disciplines" in Shanghai, covering 54 disciplines, involving five major fields: science, engineering, life sciences, medicine, and social sciences.

In chemistry, there are a total of 500 universities on the list.

Among the mainland universities in China, the best performers are the University of Science and Technology of China (8th in the world, the same below), Tsinghua University (14), Peking University (16), Nankai University (20), Nanjing University (23), Zhejiang University (25), Soochow University (26), Fudan University (27), Tianjin University (31), South China University of Technology (33).

In chemical engineering disciplines, there are a total of 500 universities on the list.

Among the mainland universities in China, the best performers are Tsinghua University (2), Tianjin University (3), Zhejiang University (6), Beijing University of Chemical Technology (7), South China University of Technology (8), East China University of Science and Technology (10), Sichuan University (15), University of Science and Technology of China (18), Dalian University of Technology (19), China University of Petroleum, Beijing (21).

American universities still occupies an absolute advantage in the rankings of various subjects, winning the championship in 30 subjects, and the total number of times on the list reached 4,781.

On the other hand, there are 272 universities in mainland China on the list, with a total of 2,470 times on the list, second only to the United States and second in the world.
