    Moscow, Nov.
12 (Sputnik) -- Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Vershinin said nearly 280,000 tons of Russian fertilizer were seized
    at several European ports.

After talks between Russia and the United Nations in Geneva on Friday, Wilshinin said that "a series of European countries have seized Russian fertilizers in recent months, amounting to about 280,000.
    "

He said that Russia advocates that the seized fertilizer be donated to poor countries
such as Africa free of charge.

He added that "despite our talk of the possible supply of this batch of fertilizer seized in individual European countries without compensation, there has been little progress so far"
