3M starts the second phase expansion of Jinshan structural adhesive

Recently, 3M officially announced that it will start the second phase expansion project of its structural adhesive production line at its Jinshan plant in Shanghai.

In addition to expanding production capacity, 3M also plans to add a structural adhesive test center in the Shanghai Jinshan plant.

As 3M's most invested and largest structural adhesive production line in China, since it was put into operation in October 2020, the production line has successfully mass-produced a variety of star products that are favored by customers, which has reversed 90% of the previous 3M structural adhesive products.

Xu Jiwei, senior vice president of the Safety and Industrial Products Division of 3M Greater China, said: “Previously, the Shanghai Jinshan plant achieved domestic mass production of structural adhesives, and the start of the second-phase expansion of the structural adhesive production line further demonstrates 3M’s continued efforts in the Chinese market.
