    According to Xiong Haikun, general manager of 3M's R&D operations in Greater China, in terms of sustainable development, in the past year, Chinese people surveyed have paid more and more attention to environmental issues.


    The survey also revealed that after the epidemic, people around the world have shown a high degree of recognition of sustainable development practices and believe that science is the way to solve environmental problems

    Of the Chinese surveyed, 96% said that the epidemic has made them more environmentally conscious, and this proportion far exceeds that of other countries


    Xiong Haikun said that in February 2021, 3M announced that it would invest about US$1 billion in the next 20 years to accelerate the realization of new environmental goals, including: achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and reducing water consumption by 25% in all factories worldwide.
