    Sinochem News Network reported on June 16, the key technology and application project of large-scale mixed-firing pyrolysis semi-coke for power plant coal boilers led by Shaanxi Coal Group Shaanxi Changan Electric Power Co.


    An appraisal committee composed of 9 experts, including academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor Qin Yukun of Harbin Institute of Technology, believes that this technical achievement is generally at the international leading level, providing important technical support for the grading and utilization of coal, and solving the problem of semi-coke, a by-product of coal chemical industry.


    This project is the core content of the fourth topic of the national key research and development program "Key technologies for clean combustion of ultra-low volatile carbon-based fuels".


    The project research lasted for 4 years.


    This technology has been applied to the 300MW unit of Chang'an Shimen Power Plant and the 660MW unit of Jingneng Ningdong Power Plant.
