Systems (NYSE: AXTA) abcite® thermoplastic powder coatings, has been the National Health Foundation (NSF) NSF / ANSI 61 (drinking water system components - health effects) standard certification. The coating is widely used in a wide range of industrial applications, including pipes and accessories for drinking water systems. The U.S. National Health Foundation is an independent global health and environmental organization responsible for standard-setting and product testing and certification. The NSF/ANSI 61 standard focuses on the safety of drinking water system products, with special attention to potential health hazards in drinking water.

Our Abcite coatings are extremely resistant to corrosion, UV and extremely tough. In particular, they are absolutely safe and harmless when in contact with drinking water, which we hope people will understand. After a number of audits and rigorous testing, Abcite products are NSF/ANSI 61 certified, further demonstrating that Abcite products are truly safe and reliable.
To obtain this certification, Asda submitted information on product formulation, toxicology and use, was reviewed by the factory, provided test samples of laboratory products to the National Health Foundation, and conducted a comprehensive toxicology assessment. This rigorous process is designed to ensure that drinking water does not seep into any potentially harmful chemicals. All certified Abcite products will be certified as NSF/ANSI 61.
Abcite thermoplastic powder coatings are designed with the coating's toughness and non-peeling capabilities in consideration, taking into account environmental factors and free of any VOCs (volatile organic compounds). The coating can be used to protect water pipes, valves, filters and accessories, as well as outdoor furniture and equipment including fences, benches, lampposts and playground facilities, as well as for transport, ships and marine buildings. This high-performance thermoplastic powder coating can be used as a single coating system without the need for primers.
