Acciona Energía plans to develop photovoltaic projects in Chile over the next three years, with a total power generation capacity of 126MW.
From the beginning of 2019, Acciona will begin construction of the 62MW Almeyda photovoltaic power plant, which is expected to be completed
by the end of 2019.
Once completed, the project will cover the Diego de Almago region in the Atacama region, covering 150 hectares of land
.
In the third quarter of 2019, Acciona also plans to start construction of the 64MW Usya PV project, which is expected to be completed
by mid-2020.
The project is located in Kalamar in the Antofagasta region and covers 105 hectares of land
.
The total investment in these two projects is about 150 million US dollars
.
The two projects have already signed a PPA agreement
with the Chilean National Mining Company (ENAMI).
