Environmentally friendly and recyclable polymer materials research is an important direction in the field of intelligent bionics and high-tech, which has received great attention from the global scientific and industrial circles. Polyurethane (PUs) is widely used in coatings, adhesives, foam materials and other fields due to its excellent performance. Typically, PUs need to react under the action of a catalyst to produce thermosolytic resins for application, and the residue of hazardous substances and the difficulty of material recovery limit their application.Xu Jian, a researcher in the Polymer Physics and Chemistry Laboratory of the Institute of Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Zhao Ning's team of researchers successfully prepared classpolyurethanes (POUs) under the mild conditions of catalyst-free, using hexamethyl diocyanate (HDI) and multi-official group(Oxime) as raw materials. The polymerization reaction has the outstanding advantages of high efficiency, in 30oC dichloromethane reaction for 3 hours, the conversion rate is as high as 99%; The POUs are prepared with the same mechanical properties as conventional PUs. Further studies have found thatkeys have thermal reversible properties, POUs exhibit excellent thermal self-healing and recyclable properties, and repair efficiency can be up to 90%. This study, the dynamic properties of polyurethane keys, makes poUs recyclable and reusable possible. With the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Beijing National Laboratory of Molecular Sciences, the researchers, in collaboration with Yu Zhixiang, a professor at Peking University, carried out a related reaction mechanism study using density general letter theory, which showed thatisomer nitrone played a key role in polymerization and reversible exchange reactions.。 POUs materials have the characteristics of easy preparation method, dynamic reversible structure and excellent performance of dynamics, and the new dynamic reversible urethane bond brings a new choice for building recyclable and reusable polymers, and is expected to greatly expand the application of polyurethane materials.patent CN201710031150.2 for this work, published in J.
