Perovskite solar cells have achieved a power conversion efficiency of up to 25.
In perovskite solar cells, the charge extraction layer sandwiched between the absorber layer and the electrode is usually a doped organic semiconductor.
In order to improve the conductivity of spiro-OMeTAD, lithium bis(trifluoromethane)sulfonimide (LiTFSI) dopant is usually added to the spiro-OMeTAD solution, and then the spiro-OMeTAD: LiTFSI mixed film is exposed to air and light.
In this process, the oxidation product is used as a p-type dopant.
