    Nexans recently issued an announcement that the six-year Canadian submarine cable project has been successfully completed
    with the delivery of the last batch of submarine cables.

    It is reported that Nexans designed, manufactured, supplied and installed approximately 100 kilometers of submarine high-voltage direct current (HVDC) cables and accessories
    for Nalcor Energy in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
    The project, which now connects Labrador and Newfoundland, will enter the final stages of preparation when Nexans completes delivery of the final 2.

    The 350 kV HVDC cable used in this project is based on a large-scale impregnated design
    recognized by Nexans.
    They include three-segment submarine cables, integrated fiber optic elements, and underground cables
    for land connections across the strait.
    Accessories include fittings, spare parts and terminals

    Nexans' own installation vessel, C/S Nexans Skagerrak, is responsible for the installation of submarine cables to depths of up to 110 meters
