According to the CEO of Norwegian oil services company Aker Solutions, the expansion of its Brazilian offshore wind farm brings high growth potential

As a specialist in the construction of floating offshore platforms, Aker Solutions is looking for new target businesses
that go beyond oil and its extensive operations in the Norwegian North Sea.
Aker's CEO said, "I hope to offer more floating wind farm expertise through Principle Power, a small California-based company in which Aker owns 10 percent, or more

He added that engineering studies
are underway for a pilot project for the first floating wind farm off the coast of California.
The capacity of the site is 100-150 MW

He revealed that he "hopes to work with competitors such as Equinor to develop offshore wind in
the future.
" Equinor is considering whether to build a pioneer offshore wind farm with floating turbines to power
two North Sea fields.
For companies, the offshore wind sector is starting to move beyond oil

But oil will remain an important part in
the next five to ten years.
