Akzo Nobel of the Netherlands has announced the construction of an "international" brand of marine and protective coatings production capacity at its current high-performance coatings (product library purchase and supply) manufacturing plant in Lipetsk, south of the Russian capital Moscow, which is scheduled to be operational in the third quarter of 2016.
According to the company, the new expansion project will meet the demand for corporate protective coatings in the oil and gas industry, mining, power industry and infrastructure construction market in western Russia, as well as the demand for marine coatings in the local shipbuilding and ship maintenance industries.
