Algerian Post and Telecommunications Minister Brahim Boumzar announced that the country will soon be connected to a new submarine fiber optic cable that "will strengthen the country's data capacity supported by existing cables.

According to reports, Algeria currently has a connection
to the ALPAL-2 submarine system.
The system connects
Algeria with Parma, Spain.
