    Researchers included 96,831 American postmenopausal women who had no known CVD or cancer during the baseline study of the American Women’s Health Program and were between the ages of 50-79.


     

    The results of the study showed that during the follow-up period, there were 9808 CVD emergencies and 19508 deaths from all causes.
