    Proton pump inhibitors (PPI) are used to treat many diseases that require suppression of gastric acid secretion, and PPI is one of the most commonly prescribed drugs in the world.

    After calculating the propensity score weights, a total of 39799 PPI and 38967H2RA patients were included in the study.
