    Chronic constipation (CC) is a common gastrointestinal disease (GI).

    Over-the-counter products, such as fiber supplements, osmotic laxatives, and stimulants, can improve intestinal-related discomfort, but have little effect on abdominal symptoms, and in some cases can exacerbate abdominal symptoms.
    In the United States, two common CC natural foods are
    dried prunes and dried plums (plums).

          Researchers performed 3 natural food treatments on adults with CC in American medical centers.
    Eligible patients ≤3 complete spontaneous bowel movements (CSBM) per week, and were randomly assigned to the treatment group of green kiwifruit (2/d), prunes (100 g/d) or plantain (12 g/d) , The trial lasted 4 weeks.
