(3) Chloromethylstyrene polymerization method
The method uses chloromethyl-containing styrene as a monomer, and a crosslinking agent such as divinylbenzene copolymer to obtain a chloromethyl copolymer, and then amination to obtain an anion exchange resin
In 1962, McMaster first proposed using this method to prepare anion exchange resins
Rohm&.
Amick first polymerizes chloromethyl styrene to obtain a linear polymer, and then slightly crosslinks the linear polymer through heat treatment to obtain stable pellets.
The anion exchange resin prepared by the chloromethyl styrene method has relatively uniform distribution of functional groups, high exchange capacity, good mechanical stability, thermal stability and oxidation, high regeneration efficiency, and strong resistance to organic pollution
(4) Halogenation method of alkyl styrene copolymer
In this method, halogen is introduced into the alkyl group of the alkyl (mainly methyl) styrene copolymer through a halogenation reaction to obtain a haloalkyl (mainly halomethyl) copolymer, and then reacts with an amine to obtain an anion exchange resin
In 1952, Dow Chemical Company used phosphorus trichloride as a catalyst to react methyl styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer and chlorine under ultraviolet light irradiation to prepare a chloromethyl copolymer, and proceeded to prepare an anion exchange resin
In 1981, Herbin et al.
The use of alkylstyrene copolymer halogenation method to prepare anion exchange resin avoids the use of chloromethyl ether , eliminates additional crosslinking, and has certain advantages
