In proteomic studies using mass spectrometers, the scan speed of the mass spectrometer affects the depth of protein identification
This issue uses 2 research cases to show you what is so good about 4D proteomics based on timsTOF Pro? Let's have a look!
Case number one
A study published in Metabolites titled "Proteomic Analysis of Tears and Conjunctival Cells Collected with Schirmer Strips Using timsTOF Pro: Preanalytical Considerations" using timsTOF Pro for proteomic analysis of tear and conjunctival cells highlights the combination of high data The acquisition speed and ion mobility-based separation in timsTOF Pro can bring a new dimension to the study of biomarkers in limited samples such as tears [1]
Using timsTOF Pro, a comprehensive proteomic approach was used to investigate the detection of filter paper (ScS, Schirmer strips) from the whole (W, whole) tear fluid and its two parts - the intraconjunctival sac (B, bulb) and the rest of the filter paper Human proteome map of the sample collected in part (R, rest of the strip)
GO enrichment analysis of all identified proteins from three groups (W, B, and R) found that the power of timsTOF Pro lies in its ability to separate different molecules with the same mass-to-charge ratio (m/z), Fig.
A study titled "Ultrafast and Reproducible Proteomics from Small Amounts of Heart Tissue Enabled by Azo and timsTOF Pro" published in J ProteomeRes developed a biodegradable, MS-compatible surfactant derived from Azo, a photodegradable, MS-compatible surfactant.
As the cardiac proteome is highly complex, the enhanced sensitivity of timsTOF Pro allows for a broader proteome coverage
SBC has a high-level protein research technology platform in the industry, timsTOF Pro LC/MS, Simoa digital single-molecule immunoarray analyzer, ELISA and Western Blot for proteomics analysis and verification, covering protein qualitative, quantitative and modification research
