Beijing time, German chemical giant BASF held a press conference on Monday, said earlier in the day, the explosion and fire at its maximum plant has killed at least one person and injured six others, in addition to six people missing.
the explosion took place at BASF's chemical plant in Ludwigsh port, western Germany. Located about 80 km south of Frankfurt, the plant is the world's largest chemical production site, covering an area of about 10 square kilometres and employing 39,000 people.
