    A few days ago, the China Coal Industry Association released the "2020 Annual Report on the Development of the Coal Industry" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report") in Beijing.



    The "Report" pointed out that during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, coal production capacity reduction targets have been overfulfilled.



    While reducing production capacity, my country's coal resource development layout continues to be optimized.



    What is the trend of the coal market in 2021? The "Report" believes that from the perspective of coal demand, coal demand is expected to increase slightly in 2021; from the perspective of coal supply, the national coal production will maintain a growth trend in 2021, and the increase will be further concentrated in Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Mongolia.



    Regarding the high-quality development of the coal industry during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the "Report" puts forward ten key tasks: one is to improve the geological security of mining areas; the second is to optimize the layout of coal resource development; the third is to promote the transformation and upgrading of the coal industry; and the fourth is to promote Coal science and technology innovation and development; fifth is to promote the construction of ecological civilization in mining areas; sixth is to promote clean and efficient use of coal; seventh is to promote the construction of a smart coal logistics system; eight is to promote the transformation and development of old mining areas; nine is to deepen international exchanges and cooperation; ten is to strengthen coal mines Safety and occupational health.
