atoms are the elementary particles that make up
    and
compounds and molecules. The same atoms can form monotonic molecules, while different atoms make up compound molecules. Atomic crystals are formed when the atoms are combined by co-price bonds to form a regular arrangement of infinite molecules.

    20th century,
Ernest Rutherford, a British physicist, established a nuclear model of atoms, i.e. atoms made up of nuclei and extraterrestress, through α particle scattering experiments. The nucleus is small, with a diameter of about 1 fly meter (fm) (one in 100,000 parts of the atomic diameter). Extra-nuclear electrons move around nuclear at high speed. In elemental atoms with large atomic order, the inner electrons move at an order of magnitude that is matched by the speed of light. The mass of electrons is very small, and the mass of atoms is concentrated almost entirely on the nucleus. Atomic mid-price electrons are the most active part of participating in chemical reactions. The mass of atoms of various elements is very small. For ease of use, science generally does not use the absolute mass of atoms, but uses the relative mass of atoms. It is based on the carbon
isotope 12 C mass of 1/12 as the standard, the mass of other atoms compared to it obtained values, as the atomic weight of such atoms. However, most elements have isotopes, so this atomic weight is essentially the average atomic weight. It is an average of the relative atomic mass of each isotope calculated by abundance.
