Australia to build first hydrogen storage tank manufacturing plant

According to PV Magazine's report on April 12, Sydney-based CST Composites plans to build Australia's first hydrogen storage container manufacturing plant

The company hopes to build Australia's first hydrogen storage container manufacturing plant, building on two specialist composites manufacturing plants already operating near Sydney

The partnership will also give CST Composites greater access to the U.

Clive Watts, Managing Director of CST Composites, said: “High pressure gas storage containers are one of the largest and fastest growing markets for advanced composites globally, especially wound carbon fibre composites

The company said the plan would help advance Australia's national hydrogen strategy, which highlights the need to develop the country's supply chain infrastructure, including hydrogen storage tanks

“We will be applying for grants and financial support from the government to advance our projects, focusing on innovative design and development of products such as hydrogen storage vessels and CPVs (composite pressure vessels),” Watts said
