News: On March 26, BASF announced plans to invest an estimated 10 million euros to increase the production capacity of color-effect pigments at its Ludwigsh Port, Germany, base by more than 20% by 2017.
BASF said the investment will help BASF meet the growing demand for
aluminum
-effect pigments in the
automotive paint market. BASF's high-end effect pigments are mainly used in the automotive market, where red, orange and gold are popular, providing a wide selection of automotive paint designs for

manufacturers.
