On June 30, 2022, BASF and Australian food packaging manufacturer Confoil have partnered to develop a certified compostable, dual-function oven-friendly paper food tray – DualPakEC.

The tray was launched at the Australian Organics Recycling Association (AORA) 2022 Annual Meeting in Glenelg, Austral.

The tray is certified to Australian Standard AS4736-2006 and certified for food safety contact according to international requiremen.

The pallets are available for organic recycling, and they can be commercially composted with organic waste collected in organic waste bi.

Has a sustainable advantage

This new certified compostable solution is an alternative to traditional PET packaging for ready-to-eat mea.

Bio-based polymers extend the life of paper

The trays are coated with ecovio® PS1606 in a single layer extrusion proce.
