Specific gene mutations may cause tumor cells to produce special behaviors, such as super drug resistance
    .

Exploring the correlation between gene mutations and the behavior of living cells at the level of living cells and single cells can provide a more accurate and reliable reference for clinical treatment

Recently, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics Chang Lingqian's research group published a research paper titled "Single Living Cell Analysis Nano-platform for High-throughput Interrogation of Gene Mutation and Cellular Behavior" in the famous journal Nano Letters
    .

And was selected as the inside cover article of the current period

EGFR mutations are the highest in lung cancer gene mutations
    .

Although EGFR-targeted drugs can effectively prolong the survival of patients, tumor cells are prone to drug resistance, causing targeted drugs to fail

Nano-platform detects genetic mutations in cells

The authors used this platform to study gene mutations in single living cells in clinical samples of lung cancer patients, revealing the relationship between EGFR mutations (L858R exon 21 and E746-A750 deletion mutations in exon 19) and the corresponding targeted drug resistance There is a clear positive correlation (Figure 3)
    .

The nano-platform proposed in this work enables in-situ cell culture, gene detection in living cells, and time- and space-controllable cell behavior analysis
