Zhang Weimin, deputy director of the risk monitoring department of the Beijing Municipal Food and Drug Administration, said that according to the statistics of the supervised sampling database, a total of 278 samples of purple vegetables have been sampled in Beijing in the past three years, and nearly 30 items of preservatives such as benzoic acid, sorbic acid, lemon yellow, sunset yellow waiting color agent, lead, inorganic arsenic, methylmercury and other heavy metals, polychlorinated benzene, nitrite, sulfur dioxide, pathogenic bacteria, mold and other nearly 30 items.

From the spectral map, the infrared spectral map of different brands of cabbage samples is similar, with protein characteristic absorption peaks near 1643cm-1 and 1539cm-1, while plastic bags have no characteristic absorption peaks in the above bands.

Organic arsenic and phosphorus can effectively distinguish between adulterated plastic bags in cabbage.
Wu Yantao said that according to the test results, 45 samples of purple vegetables sent for inspection did not find the problem of plastic bag fraud, the problem of deliberate use of waste plastic to make purple vegetables should not exist.
