On January 14, 2021, the first independent large-scale fully underground hub 220 kV substation in the sub-center of Beijing was successfully put into operation
.
It is reported that this is the 100th 220 kV substation invested in the construction and operation and maintenance of State Grid Beijing Electric Power
.
The substation has installed 4 new 180 MWA main transformers, 10 220 kV inlet and outlet lines, 12 110 kV outlets, and 3×0.

of new double-loop cables.
The substation adopts intelligent and low-energy electrical equipment, and adopts gas-insulated metal fully enclosed combined electrical equipment
indoors.
The overall design of the substation effectively saves land resources and realizes the coordination and unification
with the surrounding environment.
After completion, as one of the important hubs of Beijing Power Grid, the substation will effectively strengthen the 220 kV grid structure of the sub-center, provide strong, reliable and stable power support for the administrative office area of the sub-center and its surroundings, and improve the power supply capacity
of the power grid in eastern Beijing.
It is reported that for the first phase of the administrative office area, State Grid Beijing Electric Power has built "1+3" supporting power transmission and transformation projects, that is, one sub-center 220 kV substation, three 110 kV substations
in the west of the city, the west of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the east of the city.
Up to now, the supporting substations have all been completed and put into operation

The sub-center 220 kV substation will provide important power support for the 110 kV substation and improve the reliability
of regional power supply.
