Acoma announced an investment in the joint venture between Bostik and the leading supplier of cyanide acrylic solutions, and the Taiwanese company Crackless Monomer Company to accelerate the development and production of high value-added engineering adhesives.
Bostik will hold a 51 per cent stake in CMC, with an investment of about $11 million.
will produce specialty cyanide monoglyceride monos at a competitive cost, enabling Bostik to accelerate the development of high value-added engineering adhesives, especially those specifically designed for the electronics, medical equipment and DIY markets.
the investment complements the acquisition of Spain's Afinitica in 2018, Bostik has been able to further expand its portfolio of instant adhesives for engineering purposes.
these adhesives are manufactured through an innovative "lysate-free" patented process, which provides additional comfort to end users with unique properties.
the project is fully in line with Bostik's sustainable growth strategy and is well suited to the trend towards lightweighting by replacing traditional bonding technologies with cutting-edge, environmentally friendly technologies.
