Brazil's beef exports are expected to grow by nearly 10 per cent in 2020 and sales revenues are expected to grow by about 15 per cent, thanks to strong demand from China, the Brazilian Agricultural Channel reported on December 7.
According to export data released by Brazil's ministry of economy, Abrafrigo said Brazil exported 1,848.067 million tons of beef in the January-November period, up 9 percent from 1,701.32 million tons a year earlier, and achieved export revenues of $7.7 billion, up 14 percent from $6.8 billion a year earlier.
, exports to Chinese mainland and Hong Kong markets amounted to 1.071273 million tonnes, accounting for 57.9 per cent of total exports.
january-November last year, Brazilian beef exports to the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong markets were 734.617 million tonnes, or 43.2 per cent.
Other major buyers of Brazilian beef in January-November included Egypt (122.753 million tonnes imported), Chile (563.73 million tonnes), Russia (563.73 million tonnes), the Us (543.84 million tonnes), Saudi Arabia (385.84 million tonnes) and the United Arab Emirates (381.37 million tonnes).
, 82 countries and regions increased their purchases of Brazilian beef year-on-year, while 90 countries and regions saw year-on-year decreases.
