Brazilian power agency Aneel recently said that the next round of transmission line tenders will begin on December 19 and is expected to generate $1 billion in investment

The new round of tenders will involve 12 states, adding 2,470 kilometers of new transmission lines and adding 7,800 MVA
in transmission capacity.
It is reported that the scale of this round of bidding is significantly smaller than the same period last year, and in December last year, 7,152 kilometers of transmission lines and 14,819 MVA capacity were signed, involving 13 states and a total investment of more than 3.
2 billion US dollars.
Aneel has approved a new round of tender rules, under which the successful bidder will be awarded a concession contract for up to 30 years, including the construction, operation and maintenance of transmission lines and associated substations
