On February 19, Japanese media reported that by 2020, the total power generation generated by wind farms built in Japan will be comparable to the power generation capacity
    of 10 nuclear reactors.

Eurus Energy Holdings and J-POWER, Japan's largest wind power producers, plan to invest 60 billion yen ($528 million) to build wind farms
    .
The share of these two companies accounts for one-third
of the total wind power industry in Japan.

A report released late last year by the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA) showed that the total power rating of wind farms exceeded that of nuclear power plants
for the first time in 2015.
The total rated power of wind farms last year exceeded 400 million kilowatts
    .
The total installed power of existing nuclear power plants is 382.
    3 million kilowatts
    .
But nuclear power plants can continue to operate in windless weather, and the actual power generation is two-thirds
higher than that of wind power plants.
