At present, the scale of new energy vehicles in Shanghai is growing rapidly

From 2013 to 2015, a total of 57,666 new energy vehicles of various types were promoted and applied in Shanghai
.

charging piles.
Moreover, it is estimated that by 2017, the development scale of new energy vehicles in Shanghai will reach 131,000 units, in order to meet the above development goals of new energy vehicles, it is estimated that by 2017, the scale of new energy charging facilities in the city needs to reach 103,000; by 2020, the scale of new energy charging facilities in the city needs to reach 211,000.
In order to meet the increasing demand for new energy vehicles, Shanghai decided to issue the "Shanghai Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Special Plan (2016-2020)", and officially solicited public opinions
from March 24.
According to the plan, by 2020, the scale of new energy vehicle charging piles in Shanghai will reach at least 211,000.
According to this target, it is expected that by 2020, the cumulative charging power that can be achieved will be about 2 billion kWh, which will save about 350,000 tons of alternative fuel and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 2 million tons
.
To this end, Shanghai has actively built a charging facility service network and charging facility service corridor covering the whole city to meet the basic needs
of the development and use of new energy vehicles in various regions.
On the one hand, Shanghai actively promotes the construction of charging piles for new energy passenger vehicle users in combination with residential areas and office parking spaces, and will build no less than 175,000 self-charging piles for official business, leasing, and private passenger cars by 2020
.
On the other hand, by 2020, through measures such as the construction of new land plots and the addition of existing public parking lots, no less than 28,000 public charging infrastructures for social parking lots will be reasonably laid out to meet the temporary power replenishment needs
of users.
At the same time, by 2020, Shanghai will build no less than 77,000 charging piles for buses, logistics, sanitation and buses, and build 68 bus parking yards with charging functions to meet the basic charging needs
