    According to reports, the total global PV power generation will increase from 391 gigawatts in 2017 to nearly 600 GW by 2023, making PV capacity more than all other renewable energy technologies combined, or up to double Japan's total capacity

    The International Energy Agency said in a report that "this growth is expected to continue, with solar PV capacity expected to reach 1,000 GW
    by 2030.
