Cambodian power company Electricite du Cambodge (EDC) has invited interested businesses to participate in the tender
for the implementation of a 60 MW solar project in the country's Kampong Chhnang province through an international competitive bidding process.
The project will be developed
based on self-built operations (BOO).
According to reports, the solar project will support and promote the construction of solar photovoltaic power generation projects in Cambodia to help meet the country's need to expand low-cost power generation and diversify
the power generation mix by increasing the percentage of clean energy.
The project is in the initial phase of a 100 MW capacity solar power park, with associated substations and transmission interconnection systems powering
the region's national grid.
The project includes the development, design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance
of 60 MW solar projects.
EDC will purchase the power
generated by the project under a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) executed with the developer.
Bids are capped at $0.

The proposal submitted shall be accompanied by an irrevocable and unconditional standby letter of credit or a bank guarantee
of US$500,000 issued by a bank or financial institution operating in Cambodia.
