    World Agrochemical Network Chinese reported: Recently, Health Canada's Pest Management and Control Agency (PMRA) authorized and approved several product registrations in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Pest Products Act, including the fungicide pyridinamide, the microbial pest control agent Foretryx and the biological fungicide Stargus
    .
    Details are as follows:
     
    1.
    Fungicide pyridinamide
     
    Canada intends to approve the registration for sale and use of XDE-659 fungicides, GF-3840 fungicides and GF-4017 fungicides containing the active ingredient pyridinamide for the control of specific diseases of wheat, sugar beets, rape, lentils and turfgrass
    .
    The proposed end-use product, GF-4017, is a combination of pyridinamide and pyraclostrobin and does not represent any extended use
    of pyraclostrobin.
     
    2.
    Microbial pest control agent Foretryx
     
    Canada will approve the sale and use of microbial pest control agents (MCPAs) containing active ingredients in the original drug, including Trichoderma asperellum ICC 012 stock, Trichoderma gamsii ICC 080 and Foretryx
    .
    Foretryx contains Trichoderma acutechoderma ICC 012 strains and Trichoderma gems Gems ICC 080 strains
    .
    It is mainly used to control certain fungal diseases on fields, greenhouse fruits and vegetables such as pumpkins, lettuce, field or greenhouse strawberries, greenhouse ornamental plants and cannabis
    .
     
    Trichoderma is a ubiquitous fungus that parasitizes plant rhizosphere soil, root systems, decaying wood, and dead plant bodies
    .
    It is considered to be the
    most widely distributed of all soil fungi.
    Trichoderma is often found in all types of natural or agricultural soils, including forest and orchard humus layers
    .
    Some strains are able to parasitize plant
    pathogenic fungi.
     
    Trichoderma acutechoderma ICC 012 and Trichoderma gems species ICC 080 are novel active ingredients
    for disease control in various field and greenhouse crops in Canada.
    These two active ingredients exhibit bactericidal properties by competing with plant pathogens for space and nutrients on the target crop, and may also induce systemic resistance

    3.
    Biofungicide Stargus
     
    Canada indicated that it would approve the registration of the sale and use of MBI-110 TGAI and Stargus biofungicides (formerly known as MBI-110 EP biofungicides) containing the original active ingredient Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, strain F727, to control gray mold in greenhouse-grown cannabis, as well as for the control of cannabis, grapes, tomatoes, potatoes, red (garden) sugar beets and sugar beets, sugar beets.
    Some important diseases of
    cabbage and Brussels sprouts.
     
    Bacillus amylolyticus strain F727 is a bacterium
    that controls certain plant diseases by reducing the establishment of pathogenic pathogens, hyphae growth, and spore germination.
