On June 27, 2019, Health Canada released NOM/ ADM-0133, amending the List of Permitted Sweeteners and the List of Permitted Emulsizers, Gels, Stabilizers and Thickeners to approve the use of potassium acetaldehyn sulfonate in certain standardized flavored milks Steviol glycosides from Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni are used as sweeteners, potassium dihydrophosphate (Potassium phosphate, dibasic) as stabilizers, and are limited to the appropriate amount according to good production practices.
