    On August 5, 2021, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency ( CFIA ) issued a G/SPS/N/CAN/927/Rev.
    1 notification to amend the general import requirements for imported fresh peppers and tomatoes
    .
    The main revisions are as follows:
     
    1.
    The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is revising Directive D-10-01 "General Import Requirements for Importing Fresh Peppers and Tomatoes from All over the World
    .
    " The third revision of the directive aims to provide the required clarity and improve its consistency with international standards
    .
     
    2.
    The changes contained in the third edition of D-10-01 are as follows: the additional declaration of controlled products originating from infected countries has been revised; the list of countries that have approved the export of controlled products to Canada has been updated; and D-10 -01 The changes to the CFIA automatic import reference system related to the third edition will be implemented on the date of the issuance of this directive

    CFIA will provide a 30-day transition period, during which the phytosanitary certificate received by Canada will accept the current and revised additional declarations; other details regarding the adoption and issuance of Directive D-10-01 and other details will be regarded as the illegal construction The contents of the appendix
