In recent years, due to the large use of traditional energy, the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere has increased dramatically, which further led to greenhouse effect and environmental and climate deterioration, so measures should be taken to reduce the concentration of CO2 Converting CO2 into usable chemicals is a way to turn waste into treasure Electrocatalytic CO 2 conversion using electricity from sustainable energy has the advantages of mild and environmental protection However, the current methods still have some disadvantages, such as low selectivity, high over potential and low current density Therefore, the key is to find a suitable catalyst Monoatomic catalysts have the highest atomic efficiency and show high activity and selectivity in many catalytic reactions However, different monoatomic metal catalysts have different activity and the reason is still unclear Recently, supported by the key R & D program of the Ministry of science and technology, the Foundation Committee, the leading and cutting-edge program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the outstanding member program of the youth Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Cao Rong and Huang yuanbiao research teams of Fujian Institute of material structure and the State Key Laboratory of structural chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences adopted the method of preparing stable monoatom of porous porphyrin triazine framework materials by the team before, A series of single atom catalysts, such as Ni, Cu, Fe and Co, were prepared and their electrocatalytic reduction of CO 2 was studied Compared with other metal monoatomic catalysts, the Faraday efficiency of the Ni monoatomic catalysts prepared by the team is higher than 90% in a wide range of voltage tests, and the selectivity is close to 100% (98%) at - 0.8V, and the TOF value is as high as 13462h-1 at - 1.2V The results show that the electrochemical potential of Ni and Fe catalysts is smaller than that of CO and Cu catalysts, so the Ni and Fe catalysts show higher activity; and the energy barrier of Ni catalysts for her is higher than that of CO2 RR, so the hydrogen generation is well inhibited, while the energy barrier of Fe Catalysts for CO desorption is higher, so Ni catalysts show higher CO2 RR capacity This work provides a new idea for the design and synthesis of high efficiency single atom non noble metal catalysts, and an important reference for the development of new high efficiency electrocatalysts The results were published in CCS chem (DOI: 10.31635/ccchem.019.20190011).
