    Hamburg-based private equity group CEE has reportedly acquired a 16.
    5 MW wind farm
    in Hesse, Germany, from the Max Boegl Foundation and private individual Egbert Reitz.

    The deal expands CEE's renewable energy portfolio to more than
    668 MW.
    The newly purchased Aßlar wind farm is powered by six GE 2.
    75-120 turbines from General Electric, which have been generating electricity
    since last May.
    CEE Operations GmbH will be responsible for the commercial management of the plant, while Max Boegl Wind AG will be responsible for technology-related issues

    CEE's CEO said, "This acquisition is in line with the company's expansion strategy

    Together with our partners, we want to continue to outpace our core markets
    of Germany and France in the long term.

    CEE's renewable energy portfolio includes assets
    from Germany, France and the UK.
    It is estimated that this year the company expects its power plants to generate about 1 million megawatt hours of electricity, which will supply 235,000 homes with the electricity
    they need.
