The European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic) confirmed its previously announced 2022 forecast for EU chemicals production growth of 2.

Part of the growth in the EU chemical industry this year is expected to be driven by manufacturing demand, Cefic said, and in particular, the European automotive sector is expected to recover as supply chain issues are expected to ease during the year
