On July 8th, Lu Boxun from the School of Life Sciences of Fudan University and Ding Fu's research group published an article "Degradation of lipid droplets using autophagosome-binding compounds" in the journal Cell Research.
The realization of this goal is based on the original ATTEC (AuTophagy-TEthering Compounds) technology published in 2019 by the team of Lu Boxun/Fei Yiyan/Ding Fu of Fudan University

This research conceptually proves that the assembled splicing ATTEC can directly and specifically target non-protein biological substances to the autophagy-lysosomal pathway for degradation, and realizes the targeted degradation technology of non-protein substances for the first time, and proves The assembly-connected ATTEC concept opens up a possible original path for new drug research and development
Fu Yuhua, a young associate researcher at Fudan University, the first author of this article, PhD students Chen Ningxie and Wang Ziying, and Plymouth University professor Luo Shouqing also participated in this research.
