Recently, Colombian renewable energy company Celsia has begun construction of a second photovoltaic power plant
in Colombia.
The solar farm will be located in Santa Rosa de Lima, Bolivar province, with an installed capacity of 8.
8MW.
Once completed, the project is expected to generate 15,542 MWh of electricity per year and will power about 7,400 homes in the country
.
It is understood that Celsia's subsidiary Epsa is responsible for developing the project and will be equipped with 32,000 photovoltaic modules
.
The project covers an area of 12 hectares and is expected to create 120 local jobs
.
Back on September 3, 2017, Cellsia and Epsa developed the first photovoltaic project, Yumbo
, in Colombia.
The head of transmission and distribution at Celsia said, "We hope to be able to complete this project
in less time than the Yumbo solar farm.
Through this project, we continue our commitment to helping Colombia and Central America achieve our goal
of 250MW of solar power.
