With funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (approval numbers: 81930022, 91749105, 81922017), the Luo Xianghang team at Xiangya Hospital of Central South University has made progress in the research of osteoporosis prevention and treatment

Osteoporosis is a common aging-related bone degenerative disease, which is mainly manifested as a decrease in bone mass accompanied by fat accumulation in the marrow cavity and increased bone fragility

The research team discovered the subgroups of immune-regulated bone senescence and the molecular mechanism of bone senescence, and reported for the first time the mechanism of GCA+ immune cells and GCA’s regulation of bone senescence, and screened out neutralizing antibodies against key immune protein molecules.
