China and South Korea Petrochemical ethylene de-bottleneck project started

Recently, China and South Korea petrochemical ethylene de-bottleneck transformation project started construction, construction cycle of 16 months, is expected to be completed and put into operation in September 2020.

In order to realize the development of chemical products to high-end and differentiation, the new 300,000 tons / year high density polyethylene and 300,000 tons / year polypropylene plant, will use advanced technology, the production of high-performance products, such as Sanfeng or even multi-peak polyethylene products, widely used in gas pipe manufacturing. The new unit can also be customized to meet customer needs to meet market differentiation needs.
addition, the new project will achieve the goal of reducing total emissions by 10 per cent from the current level. Taking chemical oxygen demand (COD) as an example, the current standard is 60 mg/L, the actual emission value of Sinopec is less than 45 mg/L, after the completion of the transformation project, Sinopec will implement the standard of 40 mg/L internally.
