    2. Existing problems
    1) uneven technological development, environmental protection coatings, new technology, new equipment to be improved
    Although China has become the largest paint production and consumption country, but is not a coating technology, coating engineering power, domestic enterprises produce paint varieties of the technical level is uneven, the technical level of domestic coating engineering is uneven, there is still a relatively large gap. Especially in various fields of environmental protection coatings, energy conservation and emission reduction of new processes, new equipment technology still needs to be improved.
    Because China has no mandatory energy-saving and emission-reduction policies for coating projects, enterprises have no incentive to transform existing coating production lines, and the application of new coatings, new processes and new equipment for energy conservation and environmental protection cannot be promoted.
    2) many enterprises, small scale, weak environmental protection technology, poor environmental awareness
