On December 17, China Nuclear Power released China's first nuclear power software package and integrated software integration platform
with independent intellectual property rights in Beijing.
This series of nuclear power software includes seven components: reactor physical design, shielding and source design, thermal hydraulics and safety analysis, fuel element design, system and equipment design, nuclear power plant operation support and engineering management, covering the main software required for the development and design of the third-generation nuclear motor type, as well as nuclear power plant operation support software
such as nuclear power refueling, online detection, and emergency response.
The degree of autonomy of nuclear power software packages is a weight to measure a country's independent innovation ability, and it is also an important basis
for judging whether China can move from a nuclear power country to a nuclear power power.
Based on the accumulation of more than 50 years of experience in the nuclear industry, during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, CNNC, together with Tsinghua University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and other scientific research institutes, pooled wisdom to tackle key problems, and developed this set of nuclear power series software with China's independent intellectual property rights, which was packaged and named NESTOR
.
