Recently, the Coal Chemical Research Institute of Jinmei Group announced that the company's first 15kW solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) project using coal as raw material in China opened up the whole process in the fuel cell laboratory of Jinmei Group Tianxi Coal-to-Liquids Branch, realizing the engineering demonstration
of coal gasification and then solid oxide fuel cell power generation.
It is understood that the project is a key scientific and technological research project in Shanxi Province - an engineering demonstration project for the development of key technologies and equipment for carbon fuel cells, and the project technology is jointly developed
by Jinmei Group Coal Chemical Research Institute, Tsinghua University, China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) and Suzhou Huaqing.
The project is implemented by Jinmei Group Tianxi Coal to Liquids Branch, and the ultimate goal is to establish an overall demonstration project of SOFC using coal as raw material

The project team has mastered the preparation technology of single-cell solid oxide fuel cell with low cost and high performance, and the integration and stable operation technology of carbon-based fuel power generation module.
The high-temperature reaction process between high-temperature CO2 and solid carbon was studied, and the continuous fuel transportation and heat balance management technology were mastered.
The exhaust gas treatment burner was constructed, and the exhaust gas combustion technology was mastered; We have mastered the matching connection between each unit and the connected operation technology
of the overall system.
