On May 12, China Railway Co.
, Ltd.
announced that the first formal agreement on China's high-speed rail going overseas will be signed
with Russia at the end of May.
At present, the consortium is consulting
on the internal division of labor, work plans and cooperation and management mechanisms.
According to Zhu Ying, general manager of China Railway Second Institute, the speed of 400 kilometers per hour is the highest design speed in the world, the fastest railway in China's high-speed railway going global project, and it is also a high-speed railway
that will use a large number of Chinese technology and equipment to be built in cold regions abroad.
The Moscow-Kazan high-speed railway is part of Russia's Strategic Transport Development Plan 2030, issued in November 2008, which will be extended to Yekaterinburg
in the future.
The total mileage of the project is 770 kilometers, the maximum design speed is 400 kilometers per hour, and the track gauge is 1520 mm

After the completion of the high-speed rail, the operating time of Moscow-Kazan trains will be reduced from the current 14 hours to 3.
